
Sixteen hours, 8 courses over 2 days with hundreds of like minded individuals, all gathered to become more educated and learn from the best, to ultimately inspire others. IDEA Fitness has put on yet another amazing educational event for fitness professionals. The combination of classroom and business tools to hanging from the TRX, bouncing off a BOSU, HIIT' it, and so much more have left me feeling reenergized! Reenergized to implement, to share the knowledge, to demo and to educate. Reenergized to not be satisfied with the norm, to not just go through the motions, to not accept anything but greatness. Reenergized to think big and go after everything you want!
Coincidence or not, my Daily Om for the day is to find a solution and a way to do and to get what you want out of life. It is to remind us to stop or least think about the reason behind complaining, find a solution and to use that energy to your advantage.
"Complaining is a person’s way of acknowledging that they are not happy with the way things are. In a metaphorical way, when we complain or criticize, we are tearing down an undesirable structure in order to make room for something new. But if all we do is tear down, never bothering to summon the creative energy required to create something new, we are not fulfilling the process. In fact, we are at risk for becoming a stagnant and destructive force in our own lives and in the lives of the people we love. Another issue with complaining is that we sometimes tend to focus on other people, whom we can’t change, as a way of deflecting attention from the one person we can change—ourselves. So transforming complaining into something useful is a twofold process that begins with turning our critical eye to look at things we can actually do something about, and then taking positive action."
I include this in because sometimes we focus on what we don't have and how if we did have certain things or if our circumstances were different that our situation might be different. However, it is up to you to change it. Whether this in reference to your health, financiall state or overall being, you determine and are responsible for the outcome. We need to stop using work, kids, spouses, etc as excuses. We need to recognize the obstacles and negativity, but we also need to change the habit. Most importantly, I think it is essential to surround yourself with the lifestyle and people that want or desire. Surround yourself with the people, the environment, the work that all renenergize you so you can share what you were meant to do!
